This site is dedicated to the memory of Malcolm Hitchman.

Malcolm was a loved Husband and Father and grandfather. A character in the community and a well respected teacher. One who spent a major part of a long teaching career working with children with special needs and training teachers, and other professionals, to become more effective practitioners with these children. Sadly, shortly after retiring, Malcolm was taken ill with leukemia, he dealt with this illness with fortitude, dignity and, above all, humour. He, and the family, received help and support from the Anthony Nolan Trust. His life was prolonged by a bone marrow transplant and, because of this is the family wish to say thank you to the trust and the doners. As part of this act of saying thanks, and in memory of Malcolm, his family and friends are taking part in a sponsored half marathon. Sponsors are requested to make their sponsorship known to the family and asked to pay their sponsorship money directly to the trust, via the Jeff Welch/Team Hitchman fundraising page. Malcolm was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a well respected, charismatic and outgoing personality, one who made a lasting impression on all he came into contact with. Malcolm has and will always be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Malcolm Hitchman is much loved and will always be remembered by all his friends and family.
