Malcolm's vocation related to teaching children and adults. He was committed to enhancing the lives of children with Special Educational needs and,as such, spent the larger part of a long teaching career working with these children and helping their teachers to be better practitioners via his work as a university tutor. Malcolm was a 'Francophile'. He loved his house in France and enjoyed being there with his family and friends. The local French villagers saw him as a true friend and welcomed both him and his family into their homes.
